The expedition discovered two pits, one of which contained the remains of inscriptions belonging to King Ramses II, and a stone block bearing a statue of King Ramses II in front of the god "Ra my sister", nicknamed the great god, the master of heaven and the ruler of Heliopolis, and the second pit contained portions of royal statues that were part of the base of a statue King City II (1205 - 1194 BC), made of brown quartz, and a statue of red granite and mostly belonged to the god "Azis" or "Hathor" or one of the queens from the Ramesside era, its tongue is inconsistent with its identification.

Last March, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mostafa Waziri, announced a new archaeological excavation in Sohag Governorate, which belongs to King Ramses II, where a stone walkway was found in front of the southwestern door of the temple, it was found that it leads to the entrance to a building that appears for the first time and the walls carry the remains of an inscription Ramses II cartridge.
Also, last June, the Egyptian archaeological mission at the Hosh Issa Center in Al-Buhaira Governorate discovered two architectural units attached to a military fort used as grain stores, in addition to a residential building from the era of King Ramses II, during the work of the mission in the northwest corner of the military fort.
